Mosaic tablelamp

It has been awhile since I have posted anything. This is what I have done. For some years ago I bought a set of tablelamps made of ceramics. I covered the first one with mosaic and left the other for futher notice. I have finished the other at last. I tought of a motive with grass and flowers. The first lamp is blue. I will publish photos later.

I have also made a frame of paper. More photos to come...

Forgotten flowers, oil pastel artwork

Illustrationfriday.com and the theme is Forgotten. There is lots of things that is easily forgotten and one of them is watering the plants and filling water in the vase with the nice bouquet of flowers. I often forget those things. Two twigs of lilac. How beautiful when fresh!

Pelargonium, Geranium, flowerpainting with pastel

I like these flowers. Easy to take care of and beautiful with many colors and features. I made this artwork two months ago from an old photo I had taken. The best is to draw or paint from real life but it is not always possible. Second best is to use a photo that you have taken yourself. Why? Because when  you see the photo you can usually remember the light and mood. You have also made the composition. It is your photo. Of course you can use other photos and pictures as inspiration and reference. But your own is the best in my opinion.

Part 4. Some green is appearing now in the image. I like the vibrant color in oil pastel. The colors will not change as it dries like paint. If you paint with acrylics the colors look a little bit different.
